Frank Greer, President and CEO of Zipit Wireless, Inc.
Frank Greer is the President, CEO, and co-founder of Zipit Wireless, Inc. A graduate of Clemson University’s Computer Engineering and MBA programs, Greer brings both leadership capabilities and technical experience to the organization. An experienced leader with proven business and entrepreneurial background, he also has a strong engineering background – knowledgeable in chip design, printed circuit board design, and system development.
Greer has over 26 years of experience in the consumer electronics, personal computer, and multimedia industries. Along with business partner, Ralph Heredia, he helped establish the Commercial Design Services Division at Aeronix in 2002, quickly growing the business through the addition of customers such as Dell, Texas Instruments, Sony, and Philips. He also was the President and Co-founder of avACTIVE, a startup focused on developing and licensing convergence technologies to large consumer OEM’s. Under his leadership, avACTIVE was acquired in 1999. He also worked for Cirrus Logic, a Silicon Valley based PC chipset provider, as the Director of the South Carolina Design Center. He began his career as a design engineer with NCR / AT&T’s Personal Computer Division and was later the Director of Engineering for AT&T’s Portable Products.
Greer’s experience in OEM sales, retail sales, and business development combined with his design and engineering expertise provides a great fit for managing and directing all aspects of a technology business.
Ralph Heredia, Vice President of Business Development of Zipit Wireless, Inc.
Ralph Heredia is the Vice President of business development and co-founder of Zipit Wireless, Inc., in Greenville, S.C. He is directly responsible for the company’s strategy regarding innovation, research, marketing and customer/partner relationships. Heredia is also the inventor of Zipit’s first & second Wireless Messenger instant messaging devices for teens and pre-teens introduced respectively in late 2004 & and 2007.
Heredia has more than 28 years of experience in the consumer electronics, personal computer and multimedia industries. Prior to helping establish Zipit, he helped establish the Consumer Media Systems division at Aeronix in 2002. In addition, he has also held management and product development positions with several mid-sized technology companies, including Escient/OpenGlobe, avACTIVE (another company he co-founded) and Cirrus Logic. For almost 14 years, from 1981 to 1995, Heredia was a member of technical staff at several of AT&T’s companies including Bell Labs, Safari Systems and NCR.
Heredia majored in Computer Science at Brookdale Community College, authored a chapter in the Wiley Encyclopedia of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1999 and has been granted eleven U.S. patents for various inventions related to the technology field.
E.L. Mont, Vice President Corporate Development and CFO of Zipit Wireless, Inc.
E. L. Mont is responsible for corporate development, capital funding, finance and investor relations. He is a 22 year technology and finance industry veteran who brings significant functional experience in finance, marketing/business development, R&D, and operations augmenting the Zipit team.
Previously, Mont was an investment banker with JPMorgan and SCP Capital/TCC completing over $6 billion in mergers/acquisitions, debt financings, and leveraged buyouts focused on technology, media, sports advisory and telecommunications. He was also a member of LabMorgan, J.P. Morgan’s e-finance private equity/think tank negotiating/facilitating venture capital investments, developing wireless applications and infrastructure, and serving on the global bank’s Unified Messaging Board. He also was Chief Executive Officer and Founder of TVChic, an interactive television firm which enabled viewers to purchase products seen in television content directly through television, broadband and mobile devices. In this role he formed relationships with media firms, designers and entities including the music group The Black Eyed Peas, Bunim-Murray Productions, Columbia Pictures Television, Marc by Marc Jacobs, GoldPocket Interactive, and Digital Video Arts (SeaChange). Mont began his career in product development and sales with IBM and Apple, as well as working as a forensic auditor with The Federal Reserve.
Mont holds B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University, earned his M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley Haas School of Business where he was a Haas Fellow, and is an adjunct professor for the Executive MBA program at the Clemson University. He is a former NFL/CFL free agent professional football player and won a national championship as a semi-professional player after playing at Northwestern.
Mike Vitale, Vice President of Sales, Zipit Wireless, Inc.

Michael Vitale is the Vice President of Sales of Zipit Wireless, Inc., in Greenville, S.C. He is directly responsible for increasing Zipit’s subscriber growth in the U.S. Michael has a proven track record for creating winning sales and marketing strategies with disciplined execution. His extensive background in wireless includes enterprise sales, SMB, consumer distribution, and indirect sales environments.
Vitale has more than 18 years of experience in the Wireless Telecommunications Industry. Prior to leading the sales organization at Zipit, he was the Director of Sales at Research in Motion, BlackBerry, for approximately 8 years. While at RIM, he was responsible for leading a high-performance sales team across the U.S. He led the strategy for successful product, service, and software launches across all carrier channels. Michael’s contributions helped Verizon Wireless grow their BlackBerry subscribers to 10 million users.
Prior to RIM, Michael began his first ten years in wireless with Los Angeles Cellular Telephone Company, which later became AT&T Wireless. In addition to management in corporate retail and B2B sales, Michael contributed to the launch of two unique wireless data divisions known as the Advanced Services Organization and the Mobile Multimedia Subsidiary, where he was responsible for growing subscriber revenue and helping architect enterprise wireless data solutions from mobile computing to telemetry.
Gary Baldwin, Vice President of Engineering, Zipit Wireless, Inc.
Gary Baldwin is the Vice President of Engineering for Zipit Wireless, and is directly responsible for Zipit’s product development activities. Gary has extensive experience in developing world class products for service providers and enterprise customers with a focus on Telecom, Datacom and Optical Communication products.
Gary has more than 20 years in high tech, particularly focused on software engineering. Previously, Gary was VP Engineering for Cisco Systems, leading the ONS 15454 product development efforts where product sales were more than $500M on an annual revenue basis. While at Cisco, Gary was also instrumental in launching development of the ASR 9000 product. Both of these products have achieved widespread adoption in service providers on a world wide basis as the core IP / Ethernet over Optical layer.
Prior to Cisco Systems, Gary was the Director of Software Engineering at Cerent Corporation. At Cerent, Gary was responsible for all software development on the Cerent 454, an Ethernet over Optical product. In 1999, Cerent was acquired by Cisco Systems, where the 454 was rebranded the ONS 15454.
Before Cerent, Gary worked in several software engineering, and engineering management, roles at ECI Telecom, Raytheon, Telematics, and Micom Systems.
Gary holds a BS ChE from Clemson University and a MSEE from the George Washington University. Gary serves on the Clemson University President’s Advisory Board, George Washington School Of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) Advisory Group, and the SC Lowcountry Red Cross Board.
Colleen Patterson, Director of Customer Relations of Zipit Wireless, Inc.
Colleen Patterson brings strong analytical and technical skills to her position as Director of Customer Relations of Zipit Wireless. An experienced leader and contributor, she brings a wealth of knowledge in the consumer and business-to-business software industries to the organization.
With over 18 years of experience in Software, IT, Quality Assurance, and Customer Support in corporate and startup environments, Patterson most recently worked for a privately held software startup as an Implementation Specialist, developing and refining the support process, including how to track calls and emails from customers, creating formal responses to update customers with alerts and updates, and compiling customer feedback responses for analysis. Prior to that, she worked for Home Depot as a specialist in IT Support and Training, and defined, documented, and implemented best business practices company-wide.
Patterson also successfully managed and grew the ECS Pro Quality Assurance Department for Enterprise Computer Systems, which tested all ECS Pro software to ensure error-free operation, usability, and conformance to both operational and user interface specifications. She brings to Zipit an extremely detail-oriented work ethic, to ensure satisfaction, quality assurance, and customer service.
Paul Anderson, Director of Sales – West Area of Zipit Wireless, Inc.
With over 12 years of experience in the Wireless and technology fields, Paul brings a diverse set of talents to the team. Starting in the early years as a sales representative of pagers and old-fashioned voice phones; Paul then took on management roles at Nextel Communications, followed by a role at Verizon Wireless as an Indirect Account Manager working with accounts of all sizes. Most recently, Paul joins us from Research In Motion where he served as a Channel Director for the West Coast managing carrier relations and product sales across a variety of channels. In that role he was instrumental in developing new engagement strategies and increasing the overall support standards.
Paul holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Arizona State University.
Eric Feuerstein, Director of Sales – Mid West Area of Zipit Wireless, Inc.
As Director of Sales for the Mid West Area, Eric Feuerstein is focused on growing the sales channels and sell through of the Zipit Wireless platform and products across his regions. Feuerstein is a Wireless Sales Professional/Leader with 20 years leading teams, 17 of which were high-performance teams in the wireless telecommunications industry. He is a focused people leader driven by collaborative selling environments, strategic execution and developing leaders among sales teams. Feuerstein has a proven track record in highly competitive industries including Wireless Resellers, Wireless Retail Operations and Smartphone Manufacturers. A strong entrepreneurial background and experience in start-up organizations allow him a unique perspective when it comes to driving the Zipit platform to the channels.
Prior to joining the Zipit team, Feuerstein had great success helping build what became the 8th largest cellular reseller in the United States. He was also co-founder and partner of a chain of wireless communications stores throughout the western United States and a robust online retail business. Most recently, he spent six years leading a high performing sales team at smartphone manufacturer Research in Motion.
Feuerstein holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Studies from Arizona State University in Tempe Arizona and currently resides in the Chicago Suburbs with his wife and son.
Kevin Giroux, Director of Sales – Northeast Area of Zipit Wireless, Inc.
As Director of Sales for the Northeast Area Kevin brings extensive sales, marketing and operations background in the Biotech, Clinical and Healthcare Industry. Most recently, Kevin held the positions of Global Sales and Marketing Operations Associate Director at PerkinElmer, where he was instrumental in the direction and development of their sales training, sales support and product launch programs. He has a passion to help transform sales goals to reality. He has demonstrated success at coordinating multiple efforts around innovative sales programs and strategic business planning.
Giroux’s ability to energize and train sales teams, maximize growth and influence key decision has helped him achieve years of successful sales performance. He was awarded Elite Sales Council, Presidents Club and Salesperson of the Year.
Kevin has a Nursing background, is a former US Army Communications Specialist and has a BS in Biology from Fitchburg State University.
Trent Norris, Director of Sales – South Area of Zipit Wireless, Inc.
As Director of Sales for the South Area, Trent brings over 17 years of experience in sales, business development, marketing, direct management and strategic investments. Trent was most recently the East Coast Commercial Director for Perkin Elmer’s Pre-Clinical Sales team where he received the President’s Award in 2011. In addition to the proven commercial sales experience, Trent is a former Neonatal/Post-partum Nurse/Marine Corps Trauma Medic bringing extensive clinical experience to the Zipit sales team.
Trent has a B.S. in Molecular Biology from the California State University, San Marcos.
